Hi
Does SCATA or anyone else keep any sort of database of theatre management/scheduling systems? i would be interested to hear members' views about the systems used in their hospitals. We are curently using ORSOS, and this is the only system I have experience of. Does anyone have a system that does a really good job, and which you can access the data on the back end to run web-based queries on?

Hi David
We use GE's Opera system in Fife. Not sure which part of the country you are in ?

Re: Theatre management software
Hi - we are in Norfolk. How do you find Opera?
Re: Theatre management software
Sorry for the six-month reply delay. Must remember to watch topics
Opera is OK as far as scheduling is concerned but the user interface is pretty dreadful, the reporting tool is slow and clunky and there are still occasional issues with network latency, patients not updating etc. Definitely better than the system we had before though.
There is talk of us trialling Centricity for the anaesthetic module but no definite decision on that yet.
