Virus

 

A computer program that loads and runs without the users knowledge and serves no useful purpose. Frequently malevolent in its effect. Spread by sharing files or by email.

VOIP

Voice Over Internet Protocol

Allows the transmission of voice telephony over the Internet. In 2006, many of the major telecom companies began offering VOIP in addition to their traditional voice telephony services. One of the earliest VOIP providers was Skype.
