Dear SCATA Member
We hope this finds you well as we find ourselves into Autumn in the UK.
Our delayed Annual Members meeting went ahead as planned in July. A couple of reports for your perusal:
I was recently made aware of a new source of funding for peri-operative care projects from NHSx. The deadline is 17-September 2021 so if interested in applying, you'll need to be super quick.
After a brief Summer hiatus, the OpenEHR group tasked with modelling assisted ventilation has re-grouped. Most recently, the challenge of producing structured care records in ICU has been brought into focus by analysis of data from iMDSoft's Metavision product in Norway I believe this product is also in a few UK sites. A number of resources and mind maps are available to review on the SCATA Slack channel and any SCATA member wanting to get involved can do so - just ask for an invite to the channel.
Hl7 FHIR Healthcare Devices Working Group
Following the merger (in reality, more subsumption) of the HL7 Anesthesia Working Group with the Healthcare Devices group, Martin Hurrell has drafted a project proposal for a FHIR Implementation Guide for Anesthesia records. This is at an early stage but will hopefully be discussed at the forthcoming 35th HL7 Annual Plenary and WGM. The SCATA committee are considering whether to co-sponsor this project.
